Recording day-to-day financial transactions and completing the posting process in Xero
Monitoring financial transactions and reports
Flagging any unusual or complex transactions to upper management
Entering data, maintaining records, and creating reports and financial statements
Exporting account transaction detail monthly to provide to the client
Ensuring payroll journal entries tie and are processed
Completing monthly, quarterly, and annual sales tax filings
Processing monthly and bi-monthly payroll and contractor payments, as applicable in Gusto
Pulling data from multiple sources to add more detailed financial analysis in Google Sheets for clients
Helping identify 1099 recipients and track payments for year-end 1099's
Preparing and helping file year-end 1099s

3-5 years of bookkeeping/general accounting experience
Prior experience with Xero
Prior experience with Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
Experience with Gusto, a plus
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Attention to detail and accuracy of work
Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
Able to prepare, review and understand a financial statement
