Be involved in the design and/or execution of fieldwork programs including:
Drilling supervision and geotechnical logging
Soil testing and sampling
Groundwater monitoring and sampling
Groundwater well installation and hydraulic testing
Critical analysis and assessment of groundwater and geological related data
Geospatial and 3D analysis – including GIS and Leapfrog (3D modelling)
Conceptual assessment of groundwater flow, fate and transport
Quantitative groundwater assessments of flow, fate and transport using analytical as well as 2D and 3D numerical modelling tools – SEEPW, HYDRUS, MODFLOW, GoldSim
Preparing informative and interpretive maps, tables, and figures
Preparation of technical reports, letters, memoranda, plans, specifications, and proposals
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in geology/earth science/geochemistry/hydrology, or engineering, or a related field of study (required)
Advanced degree in a related field of study (preferred)
At least 7 years of relevant experience in a consulting or mining company environment; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. (required)
Experience with multi-disciplinary project teams. (preferred)
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. (required)
