About this role
Role Overview
Perform all duties and responsibility of a MCS Digital Instructor
Ensure systems are prepared for an event, or instruction, and the classroom is clean and orderly.
Conduct system operational readiness check
Correct deficiencies pertaining to MCS equipment prior to event or instruction
Brief Students on administrative and operational instructions
Provide database management for computer simulation systems
Assist students in the conduct of the MDMP process
Analyze new software versions of MCS, lesson plans, and new POI requirements
Educate the Brigade (BDE) and Battalion (BN) staff role players on event OPORDs during spectrum military operations of Decisive Action Training Environment (DATE) and other events.
Assist in the preparation and facilitation of the Tactical Operations Center (TOC)
Provide subject matter expertise (SME) in the Warfighting Function (WfF) positions for all events to include those using constructive and/or virtual simulations to stimulate the Mission Command Systems.
Requirements
Minimum of 2 years of experience working with simulations
2 years experience in a Battalion (BN) or higher staff position
Minimum of 5 years of military instructor/facilitator experience
Experience with the Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP) and Large-Scale Combat Operations (LSCO)
Be a graduate of a relevant course, such as the Captain Career Course (CCC), Warrant Officer Advanced Course (WOAC), Senior Leader Course (SLC), Battle Staff Course, or equivalent
Must be able to instruct and conduct event support and planning IAW Program of Instruction
Must possess strong communication skills encompassing critical thinking, analytical reasoning, and clear, persuasive presentation abilities
Must maintain a favorable T1 clearance
Completion of an Army or Service equivalent Instructor Training Program
Graduate of Small Group Instructor Training Course (SGITC), Intermediate Facilitation Skills Course (IFSC) or the Common Faculty Development Instructor Course preferred.
