Supervise and coordinate all production design activities.
Ensure compliance with Davie’s specifications, standards, and work instructions.
Validate production outputs (2D drawings, 3D models, work packages).
Review and approve production design documentation.
Serve as the on-site engineering point of contact between Davie and the subcontractor’s design teams.
Ensure seamless communication with Davie’s Technical Manager.
Represent Davie in coordination meetings and design reviews.
Support the subcontractor in developing manufacturable production deliverables.
Ensure integration of all disciplines within production design deliverables.
Implement quality control checkpoints and review procedures.
Enforce adherence to class rules and contract requirements.
Facilitate incorporation of production feedback into the design process.
Provide regular progress reports and risk assessments to Davie engineering leadership.
Track design deliverables and non-conformances.
Requirements
Minimum of 15 years of experience in shipbuilding.
College degree or diploma in a related field of study.
Good knowledge of shipbuilding production processes.
Proficiency in French and English (written and spoken).
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Familiarity with vessel systems, vessel outfitting, and vessel construction.
Experience working with AVEVA Marine Engineering or similar would be considered an asset.
Experience with AutoCAD, PLM or ERP would be an asset.
Scheduling experience would be an asset.
Strong MS Office tool capability is required.
Successful completion of the security screening process and obtainment of the required security clearance under the Federal Government’s Contract Security Program (minimum of 5 years of residency in Canada, with no interruption of 6 consecutive months
