Senior Legal Specialist

Role Overview

• providing legal support for provider contract negotiations in multiple states
• Draft contract templates and amendments
• Responsible for filing of provider contract templates with state regulators
• Serves as a seasoned resource and may lead and/or coach other support staff
• Prepares and evaluates legal documentation
• Conducts legal research and analysis
• Performs fact checking, gathering documents, and researching inquiries
• Monitors state and federal legislation affecting the corporation

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Paralegal Certification or an AA/AS/BA/BS in a related field
• minimum of 10 years of legal or related experience
• Provider Contracting experience preferred
• Experience in managed care or healthcare industry preferred
• A law degree is desirable but not required
