The Clinician applies psychological/counseling principles in assessment, clinical interventions, research, training, case management, and consultation.
The clinician supervises non-licensed staff and is involved in program development.
Responsibilities include diagnosis, evaluation, treatment, and discharge planning.
The clinician provides individual, group, child, and family therapy focusing on short-term problem-solving therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, brief psychodynamic therapy, crisis intervention, coping skills, substance abuse treatment, and behavior modification.
The clinician is part of a multidisciplinary team and collaborates with patients to define treatment goals and measures of success using evidence-based outcomes.
Requirements
Professional Licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist by the California Behavioral Science Board.
Master's level degree required.
Minimum 1 year of experience working with children
Minimum one year of clinical experience for LCSW.
A minimum requirement of a valid BLS certification or higher, following the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross guidelines.
Bilingual English/Spanish or English and other predominant language of the population served preferred.
