Applies psychological/counseling principles in assessment, clinical interventions, research, training, case management, consultation, supervising non-licensed staff, and program development.
Involved in integrating behavioral health services into a primary care setting.
Responsibilities include diagnosis, evaluation, treatment, and discharge planning.
Provides a variety of interventions, such as individual, group, child, and family therapy, focusing on short-term problem-solving therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, crisis intervention, coping skills, and substance abuse treatment.
Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams including medical providers, nursing staff, case managers, and administrators to define treatment goals and measures of success.
Requirements
Professional Licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist by the California Behavioral Science Board.
Master's level degree required.
Minimum 1 year of experience working with children, and minimum one year of clinical experience for LCSW.
A minimum requirement of a valid BLS certification or higher, following the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross guidelines.
Bilingual English/Spanish or English and other predominant language of the population served preferred.
