Role Overview
- Develop and execute Vaiie's business development strategy in line with company growth objectives
- Build, manage and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities across target markets
- Lead the full sales lifecycle from initial engagement through to contract negotiation and close
- Personally conduct client meetings, product demonstrations and commercial presentations
- Build strong relationships with senior decision-makers across trust companies, corporate service providers, funds, family offices, legal firms and other regulated businesses
- Identify new market opportunities, strategic partnerships and routes to market
- Manage, coach and develop the Business Development Executive, ensuring high standards of performance and professional development
- Work closely with the CEO to refine commercial strategy, sales messaging and market positioning
- Collaborate with Product, Marketing and Customer Success teams to ensure a seamless customer journey
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts, pipeline reporting and CRM data
- Represent Vaiie at industry conferences, networking events and client functions
- Contribute to proposals, RFP responses, pricing discussions and contract negotiations
- Continuously review and improve sales processes, tools and commercial effectiveness
Requirements
- 5+ years' experience in business development, enterprise sales or commercial leadership within SaaS, technology or professional services
- Proven track record of consistently exceeding sales targets and winning new business
- Experience managing complex B2B sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders
- Strong leadership experience with the ability to coach and develop high-performing teams
- Excellent presentation, negotiation and relationship management skills
- Commercially astute with strong strategic planning abilities
- Highly organised with excellent forecasting and pipeline management skills
- Experience using CRM platforms such as HubSpot, Salesforce or Microsoft Dynamics
- Outstanding communication skills with confidence presenting to board-level executives
- A proactive, resilient and results-oriented approach
Desirable:
- Experience selling SaaS solutions into financial services, RegTech or FinTech markets
- Knowledge of KYC, AML, onboarding or compliance technology
- Understanding of offshore financial centres including Jersey, Guernsey, Cayman Islands or the Isle of Man
- Existing network within the Channel Islands financial services sector
- Experience working within a high-growth technology business
- Familiarity with Hubspot and modern sales engagement platforms
