About this role
Role Overview
You are responsible for the strategic and operational management and further development of your FMCG categories.
You analyze market, competitor, assortment and performance data and derive concrete measures to optimize sales and margins.
You identify trends, growth potentials and relevant market opportunities within your categories and develop appropriate assortment strategies.
You independently manage and further develop cooperation with manufacturers, brands and suppliers.
You evaluate products, assortments and category potentials from economic and customer-centric perspectives.
You develop new concepts to expand, optimize and position the product portfolio.
Together with internal stakeholders, you ensure availability, competitiveness and process quality across the entire value chain.
Requirements
You have a completed degree in a business-related field or completed commercial vocational training with relevant further qualifications.
You have at least 2 years of professional experience in purchasing, category management or product management, ideally in the FMCG environment.
You have solid e-commerce experience and understand how to successfully manage fast-moving assortments in online retail.
You work analytically and in a data-driven way while also having a strong sense for market movements, consumer trends and customer needs.
You have strong numerical skills and an entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on revenue, margin and growth.
You demonstrate a structured, independent and results-oriented working style.
You bring strong communication skills, assertiveness and a high degree of initiative.
Initial experience with Amazon FBA or additional knowledge in marketplace or e-commerce environments is an advantage.
Excellent German and English skills (at least C1).
