The Business Development Associate plays a critical role in Elligo’s growth by generating new business and contributing to our overall goal of accelerating clinical research.
This role oversees a portfolio of Pharmaceutical & Contract Research Organization (CRO) companies.
Identify strong potential prospects using initiative and creativity, to generate outbound lead opportunities while developing relationships with key contacts at pharmaceutical & CRO companies.
Manage, nurture, and convert study leads into study opportunities through following the Company's prospecting workflows and other study lead outreach drivers.
Learn to utilize the clinical trial Study Lead (BD) process to effectively convert the “lead” into an “opportunity” throughout the sales cycle.
Manage opportunities through their inflection points to maximize the number of awards generated for our sites (“conversion”).
Collaborates with the Account Management and Trial Placement teams to communicate what is needed to best “sell” our sites to sponsors/CRO contacts on project managed studies, with the goal of securing site awards for these sites.
Meet personal BD targets and effectively contribute to monthly and quarterly BD study goals.
Daily use of Salesforce for business development and relationship management tracking.
Requirements
Proven experience prospecting and managing opportunities through close.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and persuasively.
Ability to create compelling presentations that meet clients’ pain points to gain new business.
Proactive and timely follow-up skills: the ability to organize applicable department timelines and follow up with internal and external stakeholder needs as needed.
Self-motivated; able to work independently to complete tasks respond to department requests and collaborate with others to utilize their resources and knowledge to identify quality solutions.
Flexible in nature to accommodate new program growth and change.
Demonstrated track record of increasing revenue through the generation of leads.
General and clinical understanding of the Clinical Research/pharmaceutical market.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, or similar is preferred.
1 to 3 years of work experience in Business Development, Sales, Marketing, or customer facing roles is preferred.
