About this role

Play a critical role in shaping and managing the organization’s data risk management policies
Engage stakeholders across the organization to ensure policies align to best practices and measurable requirements
Apply knowledge of data risk and policy governance to manage policies and provide guidance on adherence
Partner closely with associates and executives within the first and second lines of defense such as Technology and Cyber organizations, Enterprise Data, and Operational Risk Management

Bachelor's Degree or military experience
At least 7 years of experience in the fields of information security, data management, technology, or risk management
At least 5 years of experience developing or managing policy
3+ years of process or project management or related experience leading cross functional projects and programs (preferred)
3+ years of experience in a second-line or oversight role at a financial institution or regulatory agency (preferred)
Risk certifications or PMP certification (preferred)
Demonstrates a deep understanding of the Data Management Body of Knowledge (DMBOK) framework (preferred)
Professional data management certifications, such as a CIPP (Certified Information Privacy Professional), CIPM (Certified Information Privacy Manager), or CDMP (Certified Data Management Professional) (preferred)
