Establishes goals and objectives, develops work plans, assigns tasks, maintains schedules and coordinates activities.
Monitors the timely completion of tasks and ensures that goals and objectives are met.
Drives the development of the team, coaches and motivates staff to ensure high productivity and quality, teamwork and increased group competency.
Organizes, facilitates and participates in data gathering from multiple resources to collect information needed to analyze and define yearly changes for tax knowledge materials.
Facilitates updating of existing tax knowledge courses and materials and identifies efficiencies to streamline current development processes.
Facilitates identification of current and pending tax law changes and development new tax-related educational material in a variety of formats.
Works with Learning Specialists to facilitate incorporation of tax content in operations materials where appropriate.
Evaluates usage of materials on a regular basis to assist in planning.
Coordinates responses to tax-related communications.
Reviews the work of staff and provides feedback.
Ensures department processes and standards are adhered to.
Manages yearly maintenance of courses and researches available technologies to enhance department processes and procedures.
Performs other duties as required.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field, or equivalent in education and experience.
Relevant individual income tax experience is strongly preferred; however, some tax knowledge is required (corporate, individual, etc.).
At least 10 years of combined tax knowledge and instructional design experience.
At least 2 years of project and/or resource management experience.
Educational design experience is strongly preferred.
Detailed knowledge of adult learning techniques, instructional design and distance learning methodologies.
Cursory understanding of Learning Management Systems, preferably Schoox, a plus.
Strong research and analytical skills, including the use of A.I. for research and analysis.
