Drive fundraising strategy and execution across Canada, partnering closely with the market leader to shape territory priorities, advance key relationships, and deliver on campaign objectives
Own and grow relationships with Canadian institutional clients and prospects; lead meetings, manage follow-up, and drive complex decision processes through to commitments
Execute and manage targeted fundraising and engagement campaigns tailored to defined investor segments, including sequencing, messaging, and internal coordination
Partner closely with investment teams and product specialists to deliver timely, relevant investment insights and ensure accurate positioning of strategies, portfolio developments, and performance
Contribute to the development of institutional marketing outreach campaigns and materials, including ideating topics and shaping content for whitepapers and thought leadership
Coordinate internal stakeholders (legal/compliance, operations, product, investment teams) to ensure high-quality client experience, timely responses, and consistent execution
Maintain disciplined CRM practices, market intelligence, and forecasting/reporting to support leadership visibility and continuous improvement of coverage strategy
Requirements
10+ years of demonstrated experience in institutional client relationship management, fundraising, or distribution within asset management/alternatives/private markets
Proven ability to build and convert pipelines, manage long sales cycles, and grow durable relationships with sophisticated institutional investors in Canada
Strong understanding of Canadian institutional investor landscape and typical governance/decision-making dynamics (e.g., pensions, insurers, endowments/foundations)
Comprehensive knowledge of private markets; CAIA or CFA designation is a plus
Excellent communication and executive presence, with demonstrated ability to translate investment concepts into clear, client-relevant messaging (written and verbal)
Strong strategic thinking and judgment; able to balance investor needs, firm priorities, and long-term partnership value
Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence senior stakeholders across investment teams, product, and legal/compliance
Strong project management discipline and attention to detail; ability to run multiple campaigns and client priorities in parallel
Proficiency in French is an asset
