Support marketing and communication campaigns: Assist in the development and execution of marketing strategies, including creating content for digital and print materials.
Social Media Management: Schedule, monitor, and engage with audiences on CMHA Peel Dufferin’s social media channels, ensuring alignment with the organization’s voice and mission.
Content creation: Draft and edit newsletters, blog posts, website updates, press releases, and promotional materials.
Event Support: Assist with the promotion and coordination of community events, campaigns, and fundraisers.
Monitor media coverage, draft media releases, and support responses to media inquiries.
Brand management: Ensure consistent application of CMHA Peel Dufferin’s brand guidelines across all communications.
Administrative Support: Assist with tracking campaign metrics, maintaining the communications calendar, and organizing marketing materials.
Other duties, as assigned.
Requirements
Post-secondary education in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field, or current enrollment in such a program.
Proficiency in social media platforms, content management systems, and graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite).
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with attention to detail.
Minimum 1-2 years of experience in marketing, communications, or a similar role (non-profit experience is an asset).
Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to approach, listen, build trust, and communicate across diverse cultures and intersectionality.
Willingness to continually improve understanding around cultural competence.
Openness to operate from an anti-racist, anti-oppressive, 2SLGBTQ+ affirming and intersectional framework.
Willingness to learn and apply practical understanding of different elements of diversity, such as gender identity/expression, race/cultural background, religion, sexual orientation, disability, immigration and precarious status, family status, etc.
Fluency in a second language, including ASL (American Sign Language) is considered an asset.
Ability to travel within and around Peel Region and Dufferin County.
A satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Screening (Police Check) report.
