Transporting materials to and from storage areas, production lines, or other parts of the facility as needed
Labeling and tagging materials with identifying information such as part numbers, lot codes, or expiration dates
Packaging parts and determining appropriate packaging methods
Printing shipping labels and/or bills of lading for UPS and LTL carriers using local software and online tools
Receiving functions – unloading/unpacking parts, verifying quantities, completing inventory transactions for received parts
Using the company ERP system to maintain accurate inventory records, tracking the movement of materials in and out of the facility, and performing periodic physical counts to ensure accuracy
Picking and pulling parts and conducting some visual inspection of materials
Ensuring that materials are stored in the proper locations and in the correct quantities, using various types of storage systems such as shelves, racks, or bins
Communicating with other departments, such as production or purchasing, to coordinate the movement of materials and ensure that production schedules are met
Participating in continuous improvement activities to identify and implement process improvements, cost savings, or other efficiency gains
Following all safety procedures and guidelines, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and using proper lifting techniques to prevent injury
Requirements
High school diploma or GED
1+ years experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment (not climate controlled)
Ability to prioritize and work well on a team
Ability to sit, stand, stoop, and lift up to 30 lbs independently
Previous experience utilizing forklifts or cranes is a plus
