Mercy is a healthcare organization seeking a Clinical Business Solutions Analyst to formulate and define business scope and objectives while understanding infrastructure requirements. The role involves functional analysis, application configuration, and acting as a liaison between infrastructure teams and customers.
Responsibilities:
- Formulates and defines business scope and objectives as well as infrastructure requirements through research and fact-finding combined with an understanding of business and industry requirements
- Performs functional analysis, requirements, definition and application module configuration and testing
- Responsible for conducting prototypes, developing functional specifications, data mapping, function mapping, setting of configuration tables and setting of transaction/control tables
- Has a thorough understanding of the business processes and flows to enable the analysis of business requirements and the development of solutions for the business functions
- Responsible for the identification of and resolution of gaps in the business processes
- Involved in security/authorization setup, user documentation, data interface design, data migration and reconciliation
- Involved in the installation and tuning of modification, as well as archiving data
- Generally, this position has light programming skills in the appropriate language to develop scripts necessary for application functionality
- Functions as a primary liaison between Infrastructure teams and internal and external customer teams requiring infrastructure services
- Manages and cultivates the infrastructure teams relationships with internal customers and project teams
- Marshalls appropriate resources to deliver infrastructure services in support of project deliverables
- Production Support monitoring, troubleshooting, configuring, enhancing and providing advanced customer support
- Deployment / Implementation planning and executing the implementation of new applications or system integration and testing
- Design researching, recommending and designing new technologies, new configurations and enhancements to existing systems; providing consulting advice to customers on the capabilities of the environment
- Demonstrates thorough understanding of the fundamental tools and concepts of one of the information technology Teams
- Applies that understanding to make independent practical contributions to moderately complex IT work within Mercy departments or functions
- Detail oriented and capable for exploring innovative solutions to solve complex problems and address issues
- Experience in clinical systems, including implementations, support, configuration, optimization, etc
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Ability to determine appropriate course of action in more complex situations
- Ability to work independently, exercise creativity and maintain a positive attitude
- Ability to complete work assignments accurately and in a timely manner
- Ability to handle difficult situations involving healthcare workers of all levels
- Operates under general supervision

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in related field, specialized training, or equivalent work experience
- 2 years of clinical or relevant technical or business work experience
- Epic Certification (within 6 months of hire)
- Experience in clinical systems, including implementations, support, configuration, optimization, etc
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Ability to determine appropriate course of action in more complex situations
- Ability to work independently, exercise creativity and maintain a positive attitude
- Ability to complete work assignments accurately and in a timely manner
- Ability to handle difficult situations involving healthcare workers of all levels
- Detail oriented and capable for exploring innovative solutions to solve complex problems and address issues
- Epic Certification Highly Preferred: (Inpatient, ClinDoc)
