Data Migration Project Manager

ECCO Select is a talent acquisition and advisory consulting company specializing in technology solutions for clients. They are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a high-priority data migration initiative, overseeing data integration from external sources into internal systems while coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless transition.

Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end planning, execution, and delivery of a multi-phased data migration project, ensuring milestones are met on time and within scope
• Coordinate with multiple technical and non-technical teams, including data engineers, analysts, business stakeholders, and third-party vendors as required
• Facilitate regular meetings and status updates, maintaining actionable agendas and ensuring clear accountability for deliverables across all teams involved
• Utilize project management tools (primarily Monday.com) for real-time project/task tracking, reporting, and risk management
• Manage the initial phase involving the build-out of data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) programs, as well as the establishment of data pipelines
• Oversee weekly data migration cycles, moving groups of client data into target environments, resolving issues as they arise, and updating stakeholders throughout the process
• Identify project risks and impediments, develop mitigation plans, and escalate critical project issues as needed
• Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement among team members, ensuring transparency and open lines of communication throughout the migration process
• Document processes, maintain detailed project artifacts, and provide post-migration support and knowledge transition as required

Requirements:

• Demonstrated success managing large-scale data migration or data integration projects, preferably in environments with multiple business and technical stakeholders
• Proven experience coordinating cross-functional teams in a virtual/remote setting
• Strong proficiency in modern project management methodologies, tools, and software, with specific experience using Monday.com or similar platforms
• Familiarity with ETL processes, data pipeline architecture, and the unique challenges of merging data from disparate systems
• Excellent meeting facilitation, schedule/task management, and communication abilities, including the capacity to drive accountability and action across diverse teams
• Ability to anticipate problems, manage competing priorities, adapt to change, and creatively solve complex issues under tight deadlines
• High attention to detail, organizational excellence, and a disciplined approach to documentation and reporting
• Comfort working independently with minimal supervision while providing regular, thorough project updates
• Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with the ability to interpret technical concepts for non-technical audiences
