Collins Aerospace is a leader in technologically advanced solutions for the aerospace and defense industry. The ECAD Lead is responsible for coordinating and tracking ECAD design work for complex circuit card assemblies, ensuring alignment with project objectives and promoting best practices in design processes.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and assign ECAD design work to Printed Circuit Designers and ECAD resources based on demand forecasts, priorities, and skill alignment
- Track and communicate ECAD project status, schedule, risks, and opportunities to program teams and internal customers
- Maintain responsibility for ECAD design execution relative to project cost and schedule commitments
- Identify schedule, resource, and technical risks and escalate appropriately with recommended mitigation actions
- Partner with Product Development Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Configuration Management, and ECAD support teams to coordinate design tasks, communicate schedules, and ensure design efforts meet program requirements and timelines Support consistent application of ECAD design standards, processes, and documentation practices across assigned projects
- Interface with Printed Circuit Designers, ECAD Quality Check teams, and ECAD Library teams to enable efficient, high-quality design execution
- Participate in project planning activities to ensure ECAD scope, timelines, and deliverables are clearly defined and achievable
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to ECAD workflows, coordination practices, and project execution
- Represent the ECAD organization in cross-functional discussions related to assigned projects and design activities
- Must be willing and able to travel up to 10%
Requirements:
- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field or in absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
- Experience assigning, tracking, and coordinating project tasks while effectively communicating schedules and priorities with designers and internal teams
- STEM Degree
- Prior SAP Experience
- Familiarity with Electronic Hardware design
- Understanding of CCA design terminology
- Project Management skills and requirements mediation
- Demonstrated problem solving aptitude
- Ability to communicate and present to all levels of the organization
