TIME Manufacturing Company is a leading global manufacturer of vehicle-mounted aerial lifts and other equipment. The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving growth by identifying new business opportunities and building long-term client relationships.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities across domestic markets
- Build and manage a pipeline of prospective clients and strategic partners
- Develop and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to potential clients
- Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive activity
- Collaborate with the sales, marketing, engineering, and product teams to align strategies and ensure successful customer engagement
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to promote the brand and products
- Prepare sales forecasts, activity reports, and strategic plans for executive leadership
- Negotiate contracts and close deals that meet revenue targets and margin expectations
- Maintain strong knowledge of company products, features, and competitive advantages
- Foster long-term client relationships to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field (MBA is a plus)
- 5+ years of business development or sales experience in manufacturing, industrial equipment, or related sectors
- Strong understanding of B2B sales cycles and customer relationship management
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Ability to travel up to 30–50% as needed (domestic and international)
- Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce), Microsoft Office Suite, and market research tools
- Background in aerial lifts, utility vehicles, or heavy machinery sales
- Experience working with municipalities, utilities, or telecom providers
- Familiarity with government contracts is a plus
