The Inside Sales Account Executive will drive new business with public safety agencies through outbound prospecting and strategic engagement, contributing to the growing demand for drones in law enforcement.
Responsibilities:
- Identify new business development opportunities and grow them into stable customers from pre solicitation through post contract award
- Prepare and update account strategy and sales forecast to show continued penetration, upsell, and expansion opportunities
- Create a strategic plan to identify, engage and create opportunities with high propensity accounts
- Build a pipeline to meet and exceed your sales targets with direct accountability on a quarterly and annual basis
- Develop a deep understanding of your customer’s business, workflows and pain points
- Focus on customer satisfaction and develop a proper contact network within accounts
- Coordinate with sales operations and customer success team to ensure customer milestones are met
- Gather and share competitive intelligence on competitor activity with marketing
- Share key customer insights and product needs with product management
Requirements:
- 1-5 years of successful enterprise software, hardware, or SaaS sales experience
- Familiarity with the MEDDIC sales qualification methodology
- Ability to travel at least 25% of time
- Demonstrated outbound prospecting (as BDR or self-sourcing AE). Experience with cold calling and high-volume outreach
- Experience running both transactional/SMB sales cycles AND strategic deals with 3-6+ month timelines and $100K+ deal sizes
- You reliably “figure it out”. This is the defining characteristic of Skydians across the company. It requires intelligence, high agency, and genuine care about the mission
- Tech-savvy and highly organized - you'll be moving fast across many accounts
- Consultative selling approach - you know how to diagnose problems vs pitch products
- Proficiency with Salesforce, Outreach, Gong, or equivalent sales tools
