As a Director of Product Marketing, you will develop strategies and tactical plans to support new product launches and enhance existing offerings, ultimately driving sales growth and brand loyalty.
Responsibilities:
- Product positioning and messaging: Build a deep understanding of who our buyers are, the problems they face, their specific needs and requirements, the competing solutions that are available to them and the benefits our products provide. Use this to develop and clearly articulate differentiated and compelling value propositions for Optum products that drive sales and marketing efforts. Guide future offerings to further strengthen our value proposition and expand our market share
- Product go-to-market and launch strategy: Lead the development of an impactful go-to-market strategy that includes the creation of marketing content and sales enablement tools, collateral, web content, video content, customer references, etc
- Sales enablement: Support the selling efforts of the Optum sales team through ongoing and timely communications and delivery of evolving product positioning, updated sales enablement assets, competitive analyses and new or developing market dynamics. Support sales enablement training and specific selling opportunities
- Thought leadership: Establish thought leadership positions in the market that differentiate the Optum offerings and reach priority audiences through marketing campaigns, events, executive speeches, influencer engagement and PR/AR
- Sustained growth plan: Following product launch, execute marketing strategies that accelerate growth and ensure customer satisfaction. Keep up to date on business results and market changes to drive initiatives that improve our competitive position. Plan and maintain the budget and expenses for product marketing and content development initiatives
Requirements:
- 8+ years of product marketing experience, which includes: Developing key product messaging and positioning, Developing complex go-to-market strategies, Executing launch plans, Writing product collateral and thought leadership content
- Working knowledge of the U.S. health care industry
- Proficient skills in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Solid communication skills
- Ability to lead distributed project teams including influencing and collaborating with others, managing and prioritizing competing demands, reacting to change and managing expectations and commitments appropriately
- Willingness to travel as needed
- Experience marketing health care technology and services
- Experience marketing to health plan/insurance organizations
