Evidence In Motion (EIM) is looking for an IT Business Analyst who will collaborate with various departments to translate business needs into actionable requirements for their software engineering team. This role is crucial in driving enhancements to business systems and ensuring overall system efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to transform business needs into detailed technical requirements
- Collaborates with the application development team and strategic IT partners to ensure requirements are thoroughly defined and align with operational objectives
- Oversee testing of new code and system enhancements; lead user acceptance testing (UAT) and support end-users throughout the evaluation process
- Facilitate coordination with vendors and partners to ensure EIM priorities are consistently reflected in sprint planning and roadmap updates
- Facilitates internal support prioritization efforts
- Assess current processes to identify areas for continuous improvement
- Utilize data analysis to review workflows and establish clear, actionable requirements
- Develop and recommend technical and procedural solutions that support the organization’s strategic objectives
- Maintain and update comprehensive documentation on requirements, processes, and implemented solutions as systems evolve
- Support the coordination of training initiatives and change management activities as necessary
- Manage communication regarding release notes for enhancements and bug fixes as changes progress to production environments
Requirements:
- Great analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Five or more years of experience in a Business Analyst role. Other systems related work experience will be considered
- Superior presentation and negotiation skills
- Strong management and organizational skills
- Adaptable and capable of working in fast-paced environments
- Bachelor's degree or higher in business analysis, business administration, finance or related field
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in Higher Education, preferably in an OPM setting
- Strong Excel skills and the ability to handle large data sets
- Strong sense of ownership and attention to detail
