RMS Energy Co, LLC is a mission-driven power services company seeking an IT Project Manager to plan, coordinate, and deliver IT projects across the organization. The role involves managing project timelines, facilitating meetings, and providing hands-on IT support while ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and manage IT projects from initiation through completion, including large initiatives (e.g., field service management software onboarding) and smaller ongoing projects
- Serve as the primary project 'quarterback,' coordinating efforts between IT, Operations, business stakeholders, and external vendors to keep work moving forward
- Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, milestones, risks, and dependencies; communicate status regularly to stakeholders
- Facilitate project meetings, working sessions, and status reviews to ensure alignment, accountability, and clear next steps
- Identify and remove project blockers by escalating issues, coordinating resources, and resolving dependencies
- Support multiple IT workstreams, including applications, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and business systems
- Provide hands-on IT support as needed, including troubleshooting issues, assisting with system configurations, and supporting end users
- Partner with IT leadership to prioritize work, balance project demands with operational support and align initiatives with business objectives
- Coordinate testing, training, documentation, and go-live activities to support successful adoption of new systems and tools
- Track and report on project progress, risks, and outcomes using appropriate project management and IT tracking tools (e.g., Jira, ticketing systems, or equivalent)
- Identify opportunities to improve project delivery processes, communication, and coordination across IT and the business
Requirements:
- 5+ years in managing IT projects
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure, and Windows OS
- Familiarity with tools like Microsoft Intune or other device management platforms
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and interact with users at all levels of technical skill
- Ability to travel up to 20% throughout the continental USA, reflecting flexibility and commitment to project needs
- Ability to pass a stringent drug screening and background check, ensuring compliance with organizational standards and policies
- Hold a valid and current driver's license
- Demonstrated IT technical background with the ability to provide hands-on support when required
