HealthEdge is a company focused on healthcare payer software solutions, and they are seeking a Director of Product Management to lead product strategy across multiple domains. This senior role involves defining product vision, ensuring alignment with business objectives, and managing high-impact product initiatives to drive market differentiation and customer value.
Responsibilities:
- Define and drive multi-year product vision and strategy across multiple product areas or solution domains
- Translate corporate and portfolio strategy into cohesive product investment priorities and roadmap direction
- Own product portfolio performance, ensuring alignment with revenue targets, market growth opportunities, and customer outcomes
- Lead build, buy, and partner decisions and guide investment trade-off decisions across product lines
- Partner with executive leadership to shape product strategy, business cases, and long-range planning
- Establish governance and operating frameworks that ensure consistent, high-quality product development and delivery across teams
- Provide strategic oversight across the end-to-end product lifecycle, from market discovery and concept development through launch, adoption, and optimization
- Guide prioritization across multiple roadmaps to balance customer value, regulatory requirements, and business impact
- Ensure scalable product management methodologies and tools are implemented across the organization
- Serve as a subject matter leader in healthcare payer technology, including claims processing, care management, provider administration, and member experience solutions
- Anticipate regulatory and industry trends, translating market and policy changes into product strategy
- Strengthen relationships with strategic customers, industry partners, and ecosystem stakeholders
- Represent HealthEdge product vision externally through industry events, customer forums, and executive engagements
- Partner with Engineering, UX, Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, and Implementation leaders to drive successful commercialization and customer adoption
- Influence enterprise initiatives including digital transformation, platform modernization, interoperability, and AI-driven innovation
- Lead strategic planning activities including annual portfolio planning, product investment modeling, and product performance reviews
- Ensure alignment between product strategy, go-to-market strategy, and customer value realization
- Lead, mentor, and develop a product management leadership team, including senior managers and senior individual contributors
- Build scalable organizational capability through talent planning, succession development, and leadership coaching
- Establish and reinforce product management best practices, operating frameworks, and performance standards
- Foster a culture of customer obsession, innovation, and data-driven decision-making across product teams
- Serve as a key leadership voice representing product management in executive planning and cross-functional governance forums
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, business, or related field; Master's degree strongly preferred
- 10+ years of progressive product management leadership experience, preferably in healthcare software, digital health, payer technology, or clinical workflow platforms
- 7+ years of progressive leadership experience leading large product portfolios and teams
- Experience driving enterprise transformation initiatives and scaling product organizations
- Deep understanding of the healthcare payer ecosystem, including utilization management, care management, care coordination, population health, and member engagement workflows
- Experience with SaaS delivery models, modern cloud platforms, data analytics, interoperability (FHIR, HL7, APIs), and regulatory frameworks (CMS, NCQA, HEDIS, etc.)
- Proven ability to partner with engineering leaders to deliver high-quality, scalable products
- Executive-level communication skills with the ability to influence across internal leadership, customers, and external stakeholders
