Commvault is a leader in cyber resilience, empowering customers to recover from cyberattacks and keep data safe. The Principal Product Manager will lead product discovery, define the vision and roadmap for Cyber Resilience features, and work closely with engineering and AI research teams to ensure high-quality execution in cloud-native environments.
Responsibilities:
- Lead Product Discovery: Deeply understand customer problems regarding data risk and recovery. You will navigate the operational constraints of massive-scale cloud environments to define how we protect and classify data across S3, DynamoDB, and Apache Iceberg
- Define Vision & Roadmap: Own the end-to-end journey for Cyber Resilience and DSPM features. You will manage the product from initial concept through to the launch of AI-driven classification and automated recovery workflows
- Execute with Technical Rigor: Work day-to-day with Engineering and AI Research teams to prioritize backlogs, clarify technical scope for cloud-native integrations, and ensure high-quality execution in a high-scale environment
- Communicate with Stakeholders: Serve as a primary point of contact for the product's technical direction. You will facilitate feedback loops with customers, present roadmaps to internal leadership, and provide technical clarity to external partners as needed
- Bridge the GTM Gap: Partner with Sales and Marketing to support pilots and customer adoption. You will translate complex "resilience" and "posture" capabilities into clear business value for the enterprise buyer
- Measure Impact: Track product success through adoption metrics, recovery time objectives (RTO), and the effectiveness of AI-driven data classification
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
- 10+ years of Product Management experience with a focus on Enterprise B2B SaaS and platform products
- At least 5 years in the Cybersecurity or Data Protection space, with specific experience in Cyber Resilience, Backup/Recovery, or DSPM
- Proven, hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP). You must understand cloud storage architectures, IAM, and resource management
- Experience delivering production-grade AI/ML capabilities, specifically for data classification, anomaly detection, or automated remediation
- Demonstrated ability to present technical roadmaps and product strategy clearly to both internal teams and external customers
- An MBA or a Master's degree in a technical discipline
- Experience contributing to technical white papers, participating in industry working groups, or presenting at professional security conferences
- Prior experience as a cloud security architect or data engineer, giving you 'firsthand' knowledge of the pain points involved in cloud data management
