Centene Corporation is transforming the health of communities, and they are seeking a Medicare/DSNP Project Manager III to support enterprise-wide projects within the Medicare Operations department. The role involves leading project lifecycles to ensure timely delivery and compliance while driving continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the full project lifecycle including intake, requirements definition, planning, execution, deployment, and closure, ensuring on‑time delivery across competing priorities and dependencies
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, and deliverables, managing scope, timelines, and resources throughout execution
- Proactively identify, manage, and escalate project risks and issues, providing clear recommendations and mitigation strategies
- Partner with cross‑functional stakeholders across Operations, Compliance, IT, and Business teams to drive alignment and shared accountability
- Facilitate project meetings, working sessions, and decision forums, influencing outcomes and resolving conflicts without direct authority
- Communicate project status, risks, decisions, and outcomes clearly to all levels of the organization, including executive summaries as needed
- Maintain accurate project documentation to support transparency, auditability, governance, and operational readiness
- Utilize corporate and industry‑standard project management tools and techniques to manage work efficiently and consistently
- Contribute to the development, adoption, and continuous improvement of project management methodologies, standards, and ways of working
- Track progress against defined success metrics and ensure projects deliver measurable business, operational, or compliance outcomes
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, related field, or equivalent experience
- 4+ years of project management and implementation or program management experience
- Proficient with MS Office applications and project management tools
- Experience working with and leading diverse groups and matrix managed environments
- Master's degree
- Project or industry experience supporting DSNP, Medicare, or Medicaid programs, with an understanding of healthcare regulations, cross‑functional dependencies, and operational execution
- PMP, PgMP, or CAPM
