The Sales Account Manager will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth and expanding market share in the sequencing industry, requiring a deep understanding of sequencing technologies and exceptional sales skills.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, generate leads, and convert them into successful sales through a consultative approach
- Devising and implementing successful strategies utilizing a consultative approach in customer interactions, resulting in measurable and impactful outcomes
- Negotiate effectively, both in written and oral communication, coupled with strong presentation abilities
- Collaborate seamlessly with key stakeholders across internal and external organizations
- Maintain and organize opportunity pipelines, tasks, and events using CRM tools such as Hubspot, Salesforce, or similar platforms
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal teams
- Find and close new opportunities while maintaining current customer relationships
Requirements:
- 5+ years of relevant sequencing experience
- A proven track record of success in account management, exceeding targets and driving revenue growth
- Familiarity with most common Sequencing, Synthetic Biology, cell and gene therapies, and molecular biology lab techniques
- Experience selling to Academic, Biotech, and Government accounts
- Ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities, generate leads, and convert them into successful sales through a consultative approach
- Demonstrated history of devising and implementing successful strategies utilizing a consultative approach in customer interactions, resulting in measurable and impactful outcomes
- Negotiation skills, both in written and oral communication, coupled with presentation abilities
- Proven track record of collaborating seamlessly with key stakeholders across internal and external organizations
- Proficient in maintaining and organizing opportunity pipelines, tasks, and events using CRM tools such as Hubspot, Salesforce, or similar platforms
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal teams
- Strong track record of both finding and closing new opportunities and being able to maintain current customer relationships
- Self-motivated with a strong drive for results
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Biology, Biotechnology, Life Sciences)
