OnwardCareer is a curated marketplace connecting professionals with vetted career experts, and they are seeking a Head of Partnerships and Business Development to join as an equity-based partner. This role focuses on building strategic relationships and unlocking scalable revenue channels to drive user acquisition and revenue growth.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a partnership strategy to drive user acquisition and revenue growth
- Identify and secure partnerships with recruiters, career platforms, coaching organizations, and aligned communities
- Build outbound and inbound sales systems that are repeatable and measurable
- Negotiate revenue-share and referral agreements
- Help shape pricing, packaging, and monetization strategy
- Collaborate directly with the Founder on growth strategy and expansion planning
Requirements:
- Experienced in partnerships, business development, marketplace growth, or B2B sales
- Comfortable operating in early-stage environments
- Strategic thinker who can also execute
- Skilled at relationship-building and closing deals
- Motivated by ownership and long-term upside rather than immediate salary
- Interested in building something scalable with meaningful equity participation
- Experience in SaaS, marketplaces, recruiting, HR tech, or career services
- Proven track record of generating partnerships or channel revenue
- Startup or founder experience is a strong plus
