Carrington Holding Company, LLC is a holding company involved in asset management and real estate services. They are seeking an Engineer, Network, I to manage daily network operations, ensuring quality user service and maintaining network infrastructure, security, and management.
Responsibilities:
- Maintains network services necessary for the daily operation of all affiliate companies
- Maintains system resources required to support the network infrastructure
- Ensures that all work being performed on network equipment is executed so that a high level of service is continually provided to internal users
- Maintains an up-to-date inventory of all network infrastructure systems, software, and appliances
- In partnership with the Provisioning Engineer, maintains an up-to-date inventory of all data circuits
- Assists with the supervision of all vendor and contract personnel when working on company network equipment
- Provisions remote access accounts and provides customer support
- Provisions corporate Ethernet ports, providing support for customer moves and printer requests, and maintaining documentation
- Ensures that all work tickets are updated in a timely manner
- Assists in network planning activities including expansion strategies for the network infrastructure, including branch projects
- Assists in the acquisition and installation of the company’s LANs, WANs and Wireless Access Points, participating in the change control process when necessary
- Assists with the evaluation of new products
- Performs analysis and monitoring of network equipment, software and data circuit utilization, monitoring network efficiency and providing resolution to network problems
- Assists with the design and deployment of fault and performance network management systems, such that they provide the required trouble isolation and identification required for applications
- Assists with the design and update of workflow and network traffic documentation, assisting with the implementation of network security policies to prevent unauthorized access
- Executes firewall changes
- Documents all requests for IT Security Exceptions, executing network changes were indicated
- Monitors SOC activity, documenting issues based on severity
- Administers internet filtering software
- Assists in the implementation of business-to-business VPN tunnels
- Keeps current and educated on new network technologies
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems or equivalent
- Or Four (4) years' experience in a corporate network environment
- Network Infrastructure Operations and Maintenance

- Network monitoring: SolarWinds, sniffing software, or other enterprise network monitoring system
- Knowledge of IDS/IPS system or software
- Knowledge of Firewall/Proxy services
- Microsoft Office Product Suite, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Visio
