About this role
Tek Leaders Inc is seeking a FHIR/API Integration Engineer to design and build healthcare interoperability solutions. The main responsibilities include developing and managing FHIR APIs, building integrations, and managing API Gateway for healthcare systems.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage FHIR APIs (R4 preferred)
- Build integrations for Eligibility, Prior Authorization, Bulk Data, and Document Reference
- Integrate with Epic and Epic Payer Platform
- Manage API Gateway (routing, throttling, monitoring)
- Implement OAuth2, mTLS, and SMART on FHIR security
- Handle error management, logging, and production support
Requirements:
- 4+ years of API/FHIR integration experience
- Strong knowledge of HL7 FHIR (R4), REST/JSON
- Experience with OAuth2, mTLS, API Gateway tools
- Healthcare workflows knowledge (270/271, 278 preferred)
- Experience in payer-provider integrations preferred
