Anchorage Digital is building the world’s most advanced digital asset platform for institutions to participate in crypto. The Product Tax Manager will be responsible for integrating tax requirements into product design and operations, managing tax contributions across initiatives, and collaborating with various teams to ensure compliance and efficiency in tax processes.
Responsibilities:
- Build and scale partnerships with Product / Engineering teams, ensuring integration of tax requirements into product design, operations and business processes, and develop efficient processes to allow for regulatory changes
- Develop trust and effective collaboration with stakeholder groups, along with other key Finance functions, to support the company’s product and business initiatives
- Efficiently manage tax contributions across multiple initiatives and product launches, focusing on ability to both identify pain points and design practical solutions
- Responsible for developing and managing information flow between Product and Tax Operations, keeping the team apprised of product changed, development and overall road map
- Maintain close connections with business and product teams to proactively address tax-related issues, help address customer feedback and develop tax efficient solutions
- Partner with other members of the finance team to identify automation and improvement opportunities, define business requirements, and translate them into technical and operational solutions, aligned with Anchorage’s tax and business objectives
Requirements:
- 10+ years of combined relevant experience in public-accounting or law firms and US-based multinational corporations, with at least 3 years of relevant experience in a Tax function supporting Product teams
- Proven experience communicating complex tax and technical concepts to non-technical audiences, including varying levels of leadership and cross-functional stakeholders
- High tolerance for ambiguity, and the ability to confidently articulate clear advice and guidance to stakeholders in the face of rapidly changing facts
- Familiarity and experience with US information reporting requirements, including compliance cycles and managing 3rd party service providers in a crypto or Fintech role
- Knowledge of indirect tax regimes in the US and abroad, including experience with tax engines, indirect tax software. Past experience with configuration and implementation of such tools is a plus
- Enthusiasm about leveraging emerging technologies, including AI and machine learning to enhance tax processes and data-driven decision-making
- You have experience applying generative AI or machine learning within tax or finance operations
