Yoh, A Day & Zimmermann Company is seeking a Senior AI Platform Engineer to support their Internal Developer Platform by enhancing developers' experience and productivity. The role focuses on integrating agentic AI capabilities into existing workflows and requires expertise in building and deploying production-grade AI platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Support our Internal Developer Platform (IDP) by enabling developers and improving the overall development experience and R&D productivity
- Introduce agentic AI capabilities into existing developer workflows in a practical, production-ready way
- Be the agentic AI subject-matter expert
- Have demonstrable experience building and deploying production-grade AI/agent platforms
- Demonstrate strong ownership of code (including testing and debugging)
- Have deep familiarity with agent orchestration frameworks and platform-level concerns
- Confidently explain system design decisions without relying on tooling assistance
- Strong Python fundamentals
- Write production-grade, scalable code
- Ownership of testing practices and debugging
- Deep understanding of agentic frameworks (e.g., LangGraph), MCP protocols, checkpointers/state persistence, HITL patterns
- Architectural decision-making and ability to justify implementation choices
- Deployment and productionization of agent systems
Requirements:
- Platform engineering background/mindset
- Agentic AI experience is critical
- Someone who has already built agentic AI solutions (Build VS Buy), can deliver quickly while advise and upskill the team through real implementation
- This person is expected to be the agentic AI subject-matter expert
- Have demonstrable experience building and deploying production-grade AI/agent platforms
- Demonstrate strong ownership of code (including testing and debugging)
- Have deep familiarity with agent orchestration frameworks and platform-level concerns
