As a Senior Program Manager, you will oversee the successful orchestration and delivery of a complex portfolio of Grid Automation projects, coordinating with Project Managers to ensure optimal planning and proactive management of risks and opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Lead multiple interrelated projects within the Grid Automation solutions domain
- Ensure alignment of project goals with overall business objectives
- Manage program budgets, timelines, and resources effectively
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and cross-functional teams
- Ensure clear communication and manage expectations throughout the life cycle of all projects in the portfolio
- Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation
- Utilize planning and scheduling tools to monitor progress and identify potential risks
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with project delivery
- Implement contingency plans to address unforeseen challenges
- Ensure all project deliverables meet quality standards and regulatory requirements
- Conduct regular reviews and audits to maintain high standards of project execution
- Mentor and lead project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture
- Provide guidance and support to team members to enhance their project management skills
- Prepare and present regular status reports to senior management and stakeholders
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive project documentation
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management within the energy or Grid Automation sector
- Proven experience in managing complex, multi-faceted projects
- Experience with protection relays, bay controller units, auxiliary relays, and telecom equipment is highly desirable
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., MS Project, Jira)
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
- Master's degree
- PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent certification
- Additional certifications in Grid Automation or related technologies are a plus
- Deep understanding of Grid Automation solutions and industry standards
- Experience with telecom equipment and network infrastructure
- Knowledge of automation algorithms and human-machine interfaces
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
