Divcon is headquartered in Dallas, Texas, delivering fully integrated automation solutions nationwide. They are seeking a Senior Project Manager – PLC to lead the execution of complex PLC-based control system projects across multiple data center sites, ensuring reliable and high-performance solutions are delivered on time and within budget.
Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end execution of multiple PLC and automation projects, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and client technical standards
- Manage full project lifecycle including scope definition, scheduling, budgeting, procurement, execution, commissioning, and turnover
- Direct and mentor cross-functional teams including PLC engineers, SCADA developers, field technicians, subcontractors, and commissioning agents
- Own portfolio performance across schedule, cost, quality, and risk metrics; deliver monthly executive-level financial and milestone reporting
- Oversee contract administration, change order management, and vendor/integrator coordination
- Partner directly with clients as primary escalation point for automation-related scope, design, and performance discussions
- Review and approve PLC system architecture, control strategies, I/O design, network topology, and redundancy approaches
- Ensure alignment between PLC systems, SCADA platforms (e.g., Ignition), and facility systems (BMS, EPMS)
- Mitigate risk through proactive planning around commissioning timelines, integration sequencing, and system cutovers
- Standardize automation delivery practices across projects to improve scalability, efficiency, and quality
- Ensure compliance with Divcon’s internal systems, cybersecurity standards, documentation protocols, and safety requirements
Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience in automation project or program management within PLC, industrial controls, or critical infrastructure environments
- Strong background in Rockwell / Allen-Bradley PLC platforms, SCADA integration, and industrial networking
- Experience managing complex, multi-phase projects involving system integration, redundancy, and commissioning
- Deep understanding of industrial automation systems including central plants, mechanical systems, VFDs, and electrical integration
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional engineering and field teams in high-stakes environments
- Strong financial acumen including forecasting, cost control, and margin management
- Excellent communication skills across technical teams, clients, and executive leadership
- Proficiency with project management platforms (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Primavera) and financial reporting tools
- Experience supporting hyperscale data centers or other high-availability environments
- Familiarity with Ignition SCADA, Kepware, OPC-UA, Modbus TCP, BACnet/IP, or Ethernet/IP
- Experience managing system integrators and commissioning teams
- PMP certification or equivalent
