Genea is a leader in property technology, providing innovative cloud-based solutions for physical security and HVAC. The Business Development Representative will engage with potential clients, qualify leads, and drive pipeline opportunities to support the sales team in achieving revenue targets.
Responsibilities:
- Engage a high volume of cold contacts, moving them from initial outreach to qualified prospects through follow-up and education
- Respond quickly to inbound leads, qualifying interest and converting them into opportunities
- Drive new meetings and pipeline opportunities for Account Executives and Regional Sales Managers by clearly articulating Genea’s value
- Identify customer pain points and business challenges, positioning how Genea’s solutions address those needs
- Consistently hand off sales-ready meetings and opportunities to Account Executives or Regional Sales Managers with strong discovery completed
- Ensure leads are routed correctly and provide complete background details
- Leverage Salesforce and HubSpot for accurately tracking metrics and reporting on lead activity
- Meet and exceed activity and quota goals to help hit revenue targets within your swim lane
- Build rapport quickly with both prospects and internal stakeholders, developing relationships that lead to business outcomes
- Bring a self-starter, entrepreneurial mindset with the drive to manage your own success
- Collaborate cross-functionally and contribute as a strong team player
- Apply an understanding of sales cycles and qualification frameworks to your outreach
Requirements:
- 2+ years in B2B SaaS Sales or business development
- Proven track record of leveraging outbound sales playbooks and refining outreach cadences
- Familiarity with Salesforce and HubSpot (or similar tools)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Physical Security or Access Control sales experience
