Rohde & Schwarz is seeking a motivated, technically strong Business Development Manager to grow our microwave and RF component business across the US & Canada. This customer-facing role involves promoting R&S solutions for various industries while collaborating with account teams and global resources.
Responsibilities:
- Define use cases and business strategies that position R&S products for current and emerging trends in RF component testing
- Identify, qualify and develop new business opportunities with component OEMs, module suppliers, and contract manufacturers across the region
- Provide market intelligence and customer feedback to Market Segment Management, Product Marketing, and R&D to influence product roadmaps and feature prioritization
- Serve as the go to technical resource for customers and internal teams on RF test topics
- Collaborate with Sales, AE and global Business Development teams to ensure consistent messaging and coordinated pursuit of multi site/global accounts
Requirements:
- BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or related technical discipline
- 7+ years of relevant industry experience in business development, field/applications engineering, RF test engineering, or product marketing with RF/microwave components
- Demonstrated technical expertise with RF measurement equipment and methodologies (VNAs, spectrum/phase noise analyzers, signal sources, modulated test, calibration techniques, automation for production test)
- Strong understanding of component-level needs for R&D, characterization and production test; familiarity with industries such as mobile, aerospace and satellite
- Proven ability to engage at both technical and business levels with engineers, test leads and procurement, strong presentation and training skills
- Track record of creating pipeline and working cross functionally to develop accounts
- Ability to travel up to 50%
