The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth, managing customer relationships, and implementing strategic sales plans within the Thermal Systems business unit.
Responsibilities:
- Generate revenue and increase market share by identifying and selling to prospective accounts through research and networking
- Maintain relationships for new and existing accounts to protect and grow existing business opportunities
- Identify the need for new products and assist in new product development initiatives targeted to the needs of key accounts
- Generate both short-term and long-term rolling forecasts for revenue and product/volume mix
- Provide input to the marketing group to support promotional, advertising, and communication strategies
- Benchmark products with the competition from a technical and business perspective and monitor competitive forces
Requirements:
- BS degree or equivalent
- 6+ years of professional experience including 5+ years of sales management experience, preferably Thermal Systems and Chillers
- Proven ability to generate new business and manage the full sales cycle independently
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport across technical and commercial stakeholders
- Highly organized, with strong project management skills and attention to detail
- Experience using CRM systems and standard business tools (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite)
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed
- Represent Ferrotec at industry trade shows
