Guidehouse is a consulting firm that specializes in various sectors, and they are seeking a Control-M Administrator and Automation Engineer. The role involves the installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of batch job schedulers, ensuring they operate securely and efficiently to meet business needs.
Responsibilities:
- As a Control-M Administrator and Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of our client's batch job schedulers, FTP Server connections, connectivity with the file storage (OnBase) and maintenance ensuring they operate smoothly and securely to meet business needs
- Scheduler Installation and Configuration: Installing and configuring new software on servers and workstations as needed
- Scheduler Monitoring: Actively monitoring scheduler, identifying potential issues, possible network bottlenecks, and security threats, etc
- Scheduler User Account Management: Creating, managing, and maintaining user accounts and permissions to ensure data security and access control
- Troubleshooting and Support: Diagnosing and resolving technical issues related to scheduler, network connectivity, and user access
- Security Management: Implementing and enforcing security policies, managing firewalls, etc
- Performance Optimization: Monitoring scheduler performance metrics and implementing optimization strategies to improve efficiency and responsiveness
- Capacity Planning: Assessing future needs and planning for upgrades or infrastructure changes to accommodate growth as needed
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or Additional four (4) of experience exp in lieu of degree is needed
- Minimum of two (2) Years of experience as Automation Engineer
- Experience as Control-M Administrator
- Experience with Troubleshooting, Support, Security Management, Performance Optimization, Capacity Planning
- Expert level knowledge of schedulers like Skybot, Airflow, Control-M, Windows scheduler
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze technical issues with the scheduler, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions
- Must be a US Citizen or a Green Card holder

- Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD 'PUBLIC TRUST'; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of their PUBLIC TRUST prior to onboarding with Guidehouse. Candidates with an ACTIVE PUBLIC TRUST or SUITABILITY are preferred
- Network Administration: Managing network infrastructure, routing, and security
- Server Administration: Managing server hardware and operating systems
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of operating systems (Windows, and Linux), networking protocols, scheduler administration tools, scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash), and security best practices
- Communication Skills: Clear communication with both technical and non-technical users to explain complex issues and provide support
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to configuration and maintenance to prevent errors and security breaches
- Adaptability: Ability to stay updated with emerging technologies and adapt to changing IT environments
