XTIUM is a global team focused on excellence and continuous improvement. They are seeking a highly skilled LogicMonitor Software Administrator to support and optimize their enterprise monitoring environment through coding and automation, while collaborating with various teams to ensure efficient monitoring processes.
Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day administration of the LogicMonitor platform, including user management, monitoring configurations, device onboarding, dashboards, and alerting
- Process MACDs (Moves, Adds, Changes, Deletes) across devices, groups, configurations, etc
- Validate, troubleshoot, and resolve LogicMonitor platform issues; escalating to vendor support when necessary
- Maintain data consistency, accuracy, and hygiene within the platform
- Build reports for clients and internal Service Delivery staff
- Research, update, and maintain 1000’s of device DataSources across the platform to ensure health and to maintain updated requirements across all hardware
- Design, build, and maintain LogicMonitor to ITSM (ServiceNow) workflows, integrations, and automations
- Experience with LogicModules
- Awareness of upcoming and current LogicMonitor functionality including LM Envision and Edwin AI (correlation, automation, and agentic agents)
- Develop, update, and enhance LogicMonitor DataSources, EventSources, PropertySources, config sources, and scripts
- Write automation workflows and custom integrations using Groovy, Java, Python, and automation scripting tools. PowerShell scripting experience is a plus
- Automate onboarding, configuration updates, and repetitive administrative tasks to improve operational efficiency
- Build internal tools and scripts to streamline monitoring processes and ensure scalability
- Perform end-to-end device onboarding for servers, network devices, applications, cloud resources, and APIs
- Configure and validate monitoring using SNMP, WMI, OIDs, and other collection methods/monitoring mechanisms
- Ensure monitoring accuracy, threshold tuning, and alert fidelity for all onboarded devices
- Collaborate with server, network, cloud, and application teams to define monitoring requirements
- Collaborate with clients and onboarding project teams for device and client onboarding
- Implement, configure, and maintain API integrations with cloud and network platforms, including but not limited to Cisco Meraki, Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Develop custom collectors or scripts to support platforms not covered by native integrations
- Work very closely with another LM administrator as well as ServiceNow and Salesforce teams to facilitate the entire monitoring and management workflow
- Work closely with infrastructure, DevOps, network engineering, and application teams to ensure complete monitoring coverage
- Excellent interpersonal skills to aid in working in tandem with internal staff in addition to client facing calls for onboarding, troubleshooting, and platform escalations
- Document processes, standards, DataSource customizations, workflows, and integration patterns
- Provide recommendations for monitoring improvements, standardization, and automation opportunities
Requirements:
- 3–5+ years of LogicMonitor or equivalent monitoring platform administration experience
- 2-5+ years of LogicMonitor specific experience
- Proficiency in Groovy, Java, Python, and general automation scripting
- Experience working with modern Linux and Windows systems environments
- Strong understanding of SNMP, WMI, OID structures, and other monitoring protocols
- Strong understanding of server infrastructures (Windows & Linux) and networking fundamentals
- Experience building or customizing monitoring DataSources or equivalent monitoring templates
- Familiarity with REST APIs, JSON, and integration workflows
- Experience with cloud platforms: Azure, AWS
- Ability to analyze complex monitoring data and troubleshoot collection issues
- Strong documentation, communication, and team collaboration abilities
- LogicMonitor Certified Professional (LMCP) or equivalent certifications
- Experience with infrastructure automation (Ansible, Terraform, PowerShell)
- Familiarity with modern CI/CD workflows
- Background or familiarity in SRE, DevOps, or monitoring engineering roles
- Knowledge of container monitoring (Kubernetes, Docker)
- Minor experience or awareness of Salesforce CRM to accommodate data entry for LogicMonitor data synchronization
- Experience with ITIL practices and service management frameworks
