Applus+ QPS is an accredited third-party testing, certification and field evaluation body for electrical and electronic products. They are seeking a high-energy Sales Account Executive to drive new business acquisition and revenue growth across North America, focusing on generating new opportunities and building a strong pipeline in the electrical and electronic compliance sector.
Responsibilities:
- Execute a targeted commercial strategy to reach high‑value market segments: Industrial machinery & equipment, Electrical controls & industrial panels, Data center and mission‑critical infrastructure, Energy systems, power distribution & switchgear, EV charging & electrification technologies, Oil & gas / hazardous environments
- Drive strategic outbound activity (LinkedIn outreach, referrals, events, calls) to build a strong pipeline
- Use a consultative sales approach to uncover customer needs and align QPS solutions
- Convert new prospects into long‑term revenue‑generating customers
- Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to close, including: Targeting & outreach, Qualification, Technical discovery, Proposal development, Pricing & negotiation, Closing
- Partner with engineering and certification teams to deliver commercially aligned solutions
- Articulate QPS differentiation, value, and ROI to technical and commercial stakeholders
- Develop newly acquired accounts through proactive engagement and solution expansion
- Identify additional revenue opportunities across Applus+ service lines: NRTL Product Certification, Field Evaluations / Special Inspections, Hazardous Location (North America, ATEX, IECEx), EMC & regulatory testing
- Build and maintain relationships with key decision‑makers to drive repeat business
- Stay informed on competitive offerings, pricing trends, and market shifts
- Provide insights to commercial leadership to support revenue strategy and market development
- Represent Applus+ QPS at trade shows, technical events, and customer engagements
Requirements:
- 3–7+ years of B2B sales experience in a quota‑carrying role
- Strong track record of developing new business and driving revenue growth
- Experience with technical, compliance, or service‑based sales preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field a plus
- Travel required throughout North America- approximately 40%
- Testing, Inspection & Certification (TIC)
- Electrical or industrial equipment manufacturing
- Automation, controls, or regulatory compliance
- Familiar with NRTL/NFPA/NEC requirements
