Ehvert Mission Critical, a business unit within Salas O’Brien, is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Production Lead to lead the design of complex electrical systems for hyperscale and AI data centers across North America. The role is focused on electrical design production, coordination, and quality control, supporting internal project teams to ensure high-quality deliverables.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage electrical design production across multiple project teams within the data center sector
- Collaborate closely with electrical engineers, architects, project managers, designers, BIM modelers, and other disciplines to ensure coordinated and high-quality deliverables
- Actively participate in hands-on electrical design and production work using Revit and other electrical design and coordination software
- Develop, update, and maintain electrical models and drawings throughout all project phases
- Review electrical drawings at all project stages, including IFP, IFC, permit, and construction documents
- Perform detailed quality control checks and comprehensive design reviews
- Break down production tasks, assign work, and manage resources effectively to meet project schedules
- Support project teams with documentation review and issue resolution using project management and collaboration tools
- Participate in client calls as needed to support coordination and communication (not acting as the primary client lead)
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university
- 5 to 8 years of hands-on experience in electrical design, production, or coordination experience, preferably in the construction industry
- Strong proficiency in Revit is a critical requirement (daily use in production and coordination)
- Solid understanding of electrical design workflows, tools, and production processes
- Strong understanding of electrical systems design, including: Power distribution systems, UPS systems and standby generators, Life safety, monitoring, and security systems
- Familiarity with NEC, applicable codes, standards, and safety regulations
- Practical experience on commercial, healthcare, industrial, or comparable complex building projects
- Strong attention to detail, commitment to quality, and coordination
- Ability to coordinate and support production workflows effectively across multiple teams
- Strong communication skills for internal teams and occasional client interactions
- Authorization to work in the United States
- Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, and Revizto is a plus
- PE license is not required, but considered an asset
- Optional site visits if desired (no required travel)
