Rubrik is a leading company in data protection and cyber resilience, seeking a Sr. Sales Engineer to provide technical direction and business guidance for their cloud product line. The role involves developing corporate technical strategies and overseeing pre-sales activities to drive product line revenue goals.
Responsibilities:
- Provides technical leadership and direction to Rubrik, customers, and prospects in the development and positioning Rubrik's cloud native data protection solutions for our Cloud Unstructured Data and Universal Cloud Licensing platforms
- Serves as a trusted technology advisor to customers and serves as a public cloud subject matter expert when positioning Rubrik's cloud capabilities to key accounts
- Leads technical sales calls, gathers / analyzes customer feedback, and identifies trends
- Qualifies sales opportunities in the terms of customer technical requirements, competition, decision making process and funding
- Maintains a consistent cadence with product management to ensure product roadmap alignment with customer demands
- Assists with the development of marketing and sales collateral to ensure alignment with customer needs and technical accuracy
- Aids in the development and delivery of technical enablement to Rubrik, channel, and alliance partner sales architects
- Cross-functionally drives the adoption of Rubik's cloud native protection technologies throughout Rubrik and the public cloud ecosystem
Requirements:
- Extensive experience in Microsoft Azure
- Accountable for product line revenue goals
- Developing the corporate technical go to market strategy
- Overseeing key account technical pre-sales activities
- Building, evangelizing, positioning, and architecting cloud data management and security platform
- Provides technical leadership and direction to Rubrik, customers, and prospects
- Serves as a trusted technology advisor to customers
- Leads technical sales calls
- Gathers / analyzes customer feedback
- Identifies trends
- Qualifies sales opportunities in terms of customer technical requirements
- Maintains a consistent cadence with product management
- Assists with the development of marketing and sales collateral
- Aids in the development and delivery of technical enablement
- Cross-functionally drives the adoption of Rubik's cloud native protection technologies
- 5+ years of sales engineering experience in a Cloud and/or Unstructured Data environment
- Additional preference for experience with AWS, GCP, private cloud infrastructure, and/or security solutions
- Driven – need for success, highly energetic with a strong hands-on, 'can do' approach
- Fundamental breadth of technical knowledge in cloud data management, backup and disaster recovery and data analytics
- Entrepreneurial - willing to go the extra mile, strong work ethic, resourceful, 'get it done' attitude
- Strives in moving in a fast-paced environment; including handling multiple calls/demos per day with immediate follow up
- A high level of business acumen and experience working with Cx0 level personnel
