VP, Product
About the Position:
As the VP of Product, you will serve as a pivotal leader shaping the overarching strategy, vision, and direction of the product organization. You will oversee multiple product lines, ensuring alignment with business objectives and driving innovation that anticipates and exceeds market needs. This role involves collaborating with executive leadership to establish company-wide policies, practices, and long-term strategies that position the organization as a market leader.
You will lead the entire Product Management organization, guiding Directors and their teams to success. Reporting directly to the VP or Product and Engineering, you will act as a key contributor to the Executive Leadership Team and provide critical insights that influence organizational strategy and decision-making.
On a daily basis, you will engage with cross-functional executives, senior stakeholders, and key customers, balancing abstract ideas with practical solutions that drive long-term success. You’ll lead and coach the Product leadership team, which consists of 1 Director of Product, Group Product Manager, and Lead Project Manager 3 Product Directors. You’ll regularly attend extended P&T Staff meetings, and interact frequently with Engineering Managers, C-suite executives, GTM leadership and key customer accounts.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership:
- Define and communicate the multi-year product vision and strategy, ensuring alignment with company-wide goals and market opportunities.
- Oversee the development of roadmaps and frameworks that prioritize innovation, growth, and profitability across all product lines.
- Partner with executive leadership to influence policy-making and steer long-term corporate strategy.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Build strong relationships with engineering, design, marketing, and sales leadership to ensure cohesive product development and go-to-market execution.
- Act as the primary voice of the customer, advocating for solutions that enhance customer satisfaction and drive business outcomes.
- Represent the company’s product strategy to key customers, partners, and industry analysts.
Organizational Leadership:
- Lead and mentor a team consisting of a Director, Group Product Manager, and Lead Product Manager, fostering a high-performance, inclusive culture across the Product Management organization.
- Build and scale the team by attracting and developing top talent and promoting professional growth.
- Implement processes that improve organizational effectiveness, ensuring data-driven decision-making and efficient resource allocation.
Market Insight & Innovation:
- Stay ahead of market trends, emerging technologies, and competitive dynamics to guide product differentiation and market leadership.Drive innovation by identifying opportunities to expand offerings, improve customer outcomes, and create new revenue streams.
Accountability for Outcomes:
- Establish and own functional-level OKRs, ensuring the alignment of objectives with broader company goals.
- Monitor and improve key performance indicators such as NPS, churn, customer lifetime value, and product profitability.
- Balance strategic investments with short-term operational efficiency to drive sustained company performance.

Product Strategy Alignment
- Develop and execute a multi-year product vision and roadmap that aligns with Showpad’s strategic goals and market opportunities.
- Ensure all product decisions and investments align with long-term business objectives, creating a unified direction across product lines.
- Establish a culture of continuous improvement and adaptability, anticipating shifts in market dynamics and customer needs.
Business Objectives
- Drive measurable improvements in customer retention, expansion, and lifetime value through innovative product offerings.
- Ensure the product portfolio delivers a significant contribution to overall revenue growth and profitability.
- Integrate insights from customer-facing teams into strategic planning, ensuring alignment with key market segments and ICP (Ideal Customer Profile) success metrics.
Product Health & Innovation
- Continuously monitor and improve critical product health metrics such as NPS, PES, and CES, ensuring consistent delivery of value to customers.
- Lead the organization in identifying and executing on opportunities for market-defining innovation.
- Benchmark against competitors to maintain or enhance the company’s position as a market leader, including recognition from analysts and industry awards.
Stakeholder Management
- Foster strong communication and alignment between product, engineering, sales, marketing, and customer success teams.
- Regularly engage with senior leadership and key customers, ensuring product direction is aligned with their priorities and feedback.
- Act as an escalation point for complex cross-functional challenges, providing decisive leadership and resolution.
Team Management
- Build, mentor, and retain a world-class team of Product Management leaders and practitioners, creating a high-performance culture.
- Foster career development opportunities for professional growth across the product organization.
- Manage resource planning and team alignment to ensure capacity and capabilities match organizational priorities.
Required Skills & Experience
Education:
- Bachelor/master delivering a solid base in business and/or technology, or equivalent through experience
Experience:
- Proven track record in senior Product Management leadership roles (VP or equivalent) within a B2B SaaS environment.
- Extensive experience leading multi-functional product organizations and driving long-term strategic outcomes.
- Demonstrated success in influencing company-wide strategy and delivering measurable business impact.
- Proven track record for delivering on Key Performance Outcomes in previous roles
- Assembled a new, or grown an existing team of product managers towards a high-performing level under your purview
- Experience influencing at the executive and board levels
Skills:
- Exceptional strategic thinking, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and solve complex, abstract challenges.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills, excellent written and oral communication skills
- Deep understanding of product management practices, market research, customer empathy, and data-driven decision-making.
- The ability to write clear product specifications, build wireframes, conduct customer interviews and perform market research independently
- Proven ability to inspire and align cross-functional teams toward shared objectives.
