Marketeq Talent is a small tech startup focused on helping enterprise organizations improve their technology through online resources. They are seeking a UX Research & Design Intern to define optimal digital user experiences for multiple projects and collaborate with a team to enhance design and functionality.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in defining user journeys, strategy, and recommendations for features and enhancements to various projects and its infrastructure while balancing business initiatives and technological capabilities
- Participate in wire-framing and prototyping efforts in order to improve user experiences for multiple projects
- Determines the factors which influence customer/user goals, experiences, and needs and creates mental models for illustrating user needs and desires
- Provide input on plans for delivery and release schedules for the UX design framework
- Ability to quickly capture and assimilate information from a variety of sources; responsible for translating business requirements and user needs into innovative design solutions that are engaging, valuable, and usable
- Produces and improves user journey maps, site-maps, user-flow diagrams, and wireframes to convey how the project will work from a practical perspective
- Collaborates on initiatives to create interaction models and prototypes to capture desired user experience, including macro and micro interactions
- Creates project briefs, presentations, competitive analysis and other necessary documentation to communicate the recommended user experience to internal stakeholders, as well as the outcomes of changes and user tests
Requirements:
- Must be currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a workshop, bootcamp, online class, or bachelor's degree program in user experience, graphic design, human computer interaction, or related field
- Knowledge of UI/UX best practices and trends
- Strong understanding of Design principles
- Proficiency with design tools ex. Figma
- Strong collaboration, communication and presentation skills
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
- Ability to commit to a minimum of 15-20 hours per week
- Proficiency in visual design a plus, but not required
