The Associate Director of Marketing Strategy will be responsible for developing and executing strategic plans for key marketing opportunities, synthesizing insights from data to drive marketing priorities.
Responsibilities:
- Gather and synthesize external data from the travel category and the marketing industry as well as internal customer data to identify opportunities and shape our strategic decision making
- Formulate high-level strategy documents for major initiatives, such as international marketing expansion, new customer acquisition acceleration, demand-led supply and product development, and the effective use of 1P and 3P data across brands
- Lead the coordination and execution of certain strategic initiatives that cut across marketing functions, going beyond just strategic recommendations
- Partner with channel owners to provide market research, intelligence, and strategy-building support to optimize individual channel roadmaps
- Serve as a strategic advisor to the Marketing Leadership Team and various stakeholders, providing data, analysis, and strategic oversight where needed
Requirements:
- 10+ years of professional experience, with a proven track record covering both Marketing and Strategy roles
- Advanced data literacy and analytical skills are essential
- Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data into clear, actionable strategy documents
- Hands on experience putting ideas into action and seeing them through
- Demonstrated ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams without direct authority
- Demonstrated ability to autonomously figure out how to define an ambiguous problem and problem solve without heavy guidance
- An extreme curiosity for the marketing landscape and the travel industry, keeping the team informed of emerging trends
