Weston Solutions, Inc. is a premier provider of environmental and infrastructure services, seeking a strategic Client Account Director/Business Development Leader for the Mid-Atlantic State and Local Sector. This role involves developing long-term client relationships, building contract sales pipelines, and ensuring high-quality project delivery to expand the company's portfolio of state and local contracts.
Responsibilities:
- Provide overall leadership in developing long-term client relationships, building contract sales pipelines, partnering with operations to ensure high-quality project delivery, and to grow the capacity of the required teams to deliver exceptional value to our clients in a variety of environmental and infrastructure technical areas
- Develop and maintain a network of relationships with regional Teaming Partners
- Collaborate with leadership to support the development of regional delivery teams
- Achieving strategic, profitable, regional growth
- Attend associations, conferences, networking events to expand the company’s presence
- Stay informed about legislative changes, funding opportunities, and competitive landscape
- Successfully pursue new contracts with existing and new clients, diversify the offerings we are providing
- Support, as appropriate, the continued development of existing client relationships
- Mentor Project Managers and Seller/Doers
- Lead internal and external messaging
- Assist in staff recruiting and mentoring of project staff
- Maintain flexibility in a continuously changing and fast-paced environment
- Translate highly technical information so that non-technical decision makers can understand risks and opportunities related to sustainability projects and Weston’s offering
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in environmental science, engineering, planning or related technical field
- 10+ years' experience and established relationships with Mid Atlantic Municipal and State clients, in a strategic business development leadership position
- A broad understanding of the current and emerging environmental and infrastructure needs, funding challenges of those clients
- Highly collaborative and willing and able to work with many stakeholders
- Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills; and the ability to clearly and effectively present complex information to all levels of employee-owners, clients, and community leaders
- Growth mindset with 5+ years of demonstrated success in business development and proposal development to municipal and state agencies
- Master's Degree
