Matia is at the forefront of the DataOps revolution, building a unified platform that streamlines data infrastructure from end-to-end. They are seeking a technically fluent product marketer to own how they position, message, and bring their platform to market.
Responsibilities:
- Own Matia's core positioning, messaging framework, and value proposition across segments and personas
- Develop clear, differentiated narratives that resonate with data engineers, analytics engineers, and data leaders
- Ensure consistent messaging across all channels and customer touchpoints
- Translate and work with contractors to position into high-impact content including website copy, product pages, blog posts, thought leadership, and technical explainers
- Develop persona-specific content that drives awareness, consideration, and conversion
- Partner with demand generation to align content with campaign strategy and pipeline goals
- Support brand and social media efforts
- Lead product launches end-to-end, coordinating across product, sales, and marketing
- Partner with demand generation on campaigns, content strategy, and pipeline programs, including develop account lists based on ICP
- Build and maintain sales collateral including decks, one-pagers, battlecards, and objection-handling guides
- Support field marketing efforts with messaging, potential on-site presence, and other elements
- Conduct ongoing research into buyer needs, market trends, and the competitive landscape
- Develop and maintain competitive positioning and differentiation materials
- Surface insights from customers, prospects, and the broader data community to inform strategy
- Support analyst relationships and position Matia for success in their papers and research
- Enable the sales team with the tools, training, and content they need to tell a compelling story
- Partner with customer success to develop retention and expansion messaging
- Capture and operationalize customer proof points, case studies, and ROI narratives
Requirements:
- 4 or more years in product marketing in B2B SaaS; at least 2 of those years should be in data infrastructure company; We're flexible here - we love candidates that have lived the pain before and been a data engineer
- Familiarity with the dbt, Snowflake, Databricks, or broader data tooling ecosystem through prior roles
- Strong understanding of the modern data stack including warehouses, ETL/ELT, observability, and governance
- Proven ability to translate technical concepts into clear, compelling messaging for both technical and business audiences
- Experience partnering closely with product, sales, partnership and demand generation teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; fluency in leveraging AI to get sh•t done
- Startup experience and comfort with ambiguity and a fast-moving environment; you will be the first product marketing hire here and need to feel comfortable traversing with a lean product team
- Prior experience in a technical role such as data engineer, data analyst, analytics engineer, or solutions engineer
- Experience building PMM function or programs from zero to one
