Position Summary
The Field Operations Support Specialist is responsible for managing car rentals and a portion of vehicle logistics, scheduling rental equipment to ensure efficient field operations. This role serves as the primary liaison between field teams, vendors, and internal departments to manage rentals, monitor fleet performance, handle logistics, and provide support in making travel arrangements and closing work orders.
Hours: Monday-Friday 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM
What You’ll Do
- Schedule lift rentals and coordinate equipment needed to support field operations.
- Create and manage rental contracts through Enterprise and other approved vendors.
- Monitor active rental agreements and ensure timely extensions or returns as needed.
- Monitor rentals and fleet vehicle maintenance.
- Coordinate fleet vehicle transfers, including setup, communication, and status tracking.
- Manage fleet vehicle disposals from initiation through completion.
- Serve as primary contact for technicians and DSMs regarding fleet-related issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve logistical challenges related to fleet and lift requests.
- Update floater locations in Sampro to support accurate weekend scheduling.
- Close outstanding WDAs in different regions.
- Assist with travel coordination, including hotel and flight arrangements as needed. Perform other duties as assigned
What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma or GED required
- Related experience/training
- Customer service-type work experience is a plus
- Strong communication, both written and verbal
- Highly Skilled in Microsoft Office
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with fleet management systems preferred.
- Proficiency in reporting and data analysis.
- Detail-oriented with strong follow-through.
