Summary:
Maintenance Tech is responsible for keeping the hotel running smoothly and looking sharp. They will facilitate simple day-to-day repairs, long-term fixes, and are responsible for being proactive in maintenance-related issues.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform routine inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and equipment to identify needed repairs
- Repair or replace damaged furniture, fixtures, and appliances in guest rooms and public areas
- Maintain and repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems throughout the hotel
- Respond promptly to guest requests for maintenance assistance, including after-hours emergencies
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and appearance of hotel grounds and exterior features such as swimming pools and parking lots
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures, including use of protective equipment and proper disposal of hazardous materials
- Live up to high safety standards – follow guidelines and tell your supervisor about any incidents, dangerous conditions or unsafe equipment
- Always keep an eye out for improvements – follow the preventative maintenance calendar and keep everything working and efficient at all times
- Be a friendly face and helping hand to our guests
- Be ready to take on extra duties as and when the team needs you
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Have A Highschool Diploma, GED, or equivalent education experience
- Have 1-2 Years Hotel Maintenance Experience
- Have basic maintenance certification/accreditation preferred
- Customer service experience preferred
- Be a team player
- Able to communicate effectively (Verbal/Written)
- Able to work weekends and evenings (Required)
Physical Requirements:
- Be able to lift up to 50 pounds, frequently or constantly to carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
- Ability to stand during entire shift.
- Ability to reach overhead, utilize both hands, to bend over and to stoop and kneel.
- Ability to operate various types of maintenance equipment.
