Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Performs a wide array of airfield-related engineering and client management services for General Aviation and Commercial Service Airports.
- Supports a team of Engineers and Draftsmen to execute the production of airfield design projects at various stages, from concept design up to Issue For Construction (IFC).
- Proficiency with design software packages such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, AviPLAN
- Coordinates and contributes to production and review of technical design documents, reports, presentations, specifications, tender documents etc.
Services will include:
- Design of Airfield Geometry (horizontal & vertical design of runways, taxiways, aprons, airside vehicle service roads etc.)
- Preparation of construction phasing plans
- Support with Airport Master Planning Team to develop airfield configurations, apron planning, and parking stand optimization
- Grading of airfield
- Airfield pavement markings
- Demolition plans
- Utility relocation and protection
- Analyse GIS data, client as-built, survey data, geotechnical data, subsurface utility information and data needed for project development
- Include preparing scopes, budgets and schedules
- Coordination with other disciplines like pavement, drainage, AGL, structures etc.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English, report writing and synopses
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field (Master’s degree preferred)
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Airfield engineering and Airfield Planning
- International airport project experience preferred (Greenfield or Brownfield)
- Strong understanding of ICAO, FAA, EASA, and other local civil aviation authority standards and airport civil design principles.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D and software like AviPLAN, Pathplanner, or equivalent software
- Excellent analytical, report writing, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
